Fingerprint Pods

Fingerprint pods is a result from my interest and fascination with seed pods. Some of my favourite seed pods are the ones of the Australian native Banksias. The fingerprint pods series is my play with the shapes of the interesting and sometimes almost animate follicles of the Banksia pods and through repetition of forms I continue to find new constellations and assemblages. Modelling these in soft wax the pieces end up with a wonderful texture created by my fingerprints. This is a stylish production series in cast 925 silver.
